They are a family run business with a deep rooted interest in Irish traditional music.
It all started in the Stag’s Head Pub in the 1970’s when a fellow musician asked Pauraic, to make him a Bodhrán. Evidently he was a happy customer as, together with his brothers Rory and Sean he grew the business from there.
The family have diversified into making and repairing other instruments, and today they supply Concertinas, Flutes, Violins, Mandolins, Bodhráns. Apart from that initial happy customer other clients include U2, Christy Moore, and Ronán Ó’Snodáigh of Kíla.
Pauraic also works with John O’Brien to offer a range of beautiful precision made low whistles.
They also supply a range of products from other makers such as Des Seery Flutes, Roy McManus and Tony Dixon Whistles.
