Property photography, real estate
I was commissioned to do some property photography for a private client in County Wicklow.
The weather failed to function as promised in the morning, and by 10am the sun, hiding behind a cloud as it was, had moved to the side of the house, making a bright shot of the front impossible (I know, I know, the earth rotates around the sun!). Shooting on location can be very frustrating for this reason!  It was darting in and out between clouds for very short periods, so there were long periods of waiting around, being ready to shoot. Anyhow, perseverance paid off and by the afternoon the weather had decided to play ball and we got a long afternoon of consistent sun and blue skies, allowing this large house to be seen in its best light. The biggest asset you can have when doing property photography is patience.
This 6000 square foot property is set on several acres in a beautiful location, with mountain views and mature trees. There also is a gurgling stream which passes right by the front door. It has double-height hallway with winding stair is illuminated by the large window to the west-facing rear and wooden winding stair. All of the bedrooms are en-suite and have access onto the rear patio. It also has several very comfortable out-buildings and a double garage.
